Burgundy lovers must look outside of the revered Côte d’Or as prices for village wines there approach and sometimes exceed three digits. Rully, along with other villages in the Côte Chalonnaise, is a good place to look, as this charming white shows. Plenty of depth balances and harmonizes with the emblematic verve common to Rully whites. A hint of tropical or stone fruit-like nuances makes a fine foil to the wine’s racy acidity. It would be a fine choice for grilled fish this summer.
