Tedeschi, a well-established family-owned producer in Valpolicella, makes a lovely range of wines from that DOC. Take this refreshing light-bodied 2024 Lucchine, for example. With its pale color, it could almost pass for a rosé. But one sip of its bright, cherry-like flavors accented by the barest hint of spice tells you it’s not. This fragrant and light-weight red, with its modest 12.5 percent stated alcohol and mild tannins, is perfect for chilling and will provide far more enjoyment than most rosés.
