($43):  Grgich Hills Estate is certainly among California’s leading producers across the board, and especially for Chardonnay.  Indeed, year in and year out, they produce excellent examples.  This wonderfully full-bodied wine manages to maintain balance with zippy crisp acidity and whiff of smokiness.  They walk the line between power and being over the top.
