Mohua, Central Otago (New Zealand) Riesling 2007

($15, Vineyard Brands): If New Zealand continues to turn out Riesling like this one, it will become known for that varietal in addition to its Sauvignon Blanc.  It delivers a marvelous combination of earthy minerality, lively fruity notes, good concentration and bracing acidity.  Nicely balanced, it is equally at home before the meal as with spicy Asian fare. 88 Michael Apstein Feb 2, 2010
