($60): Mastrojanni’s 2010 Brunello, one of the top wines of the vintage, has gorgeous power balanced by suave elegance. An engaging floral aspect suggests greatness. What follows doesn’t disappoint. Polished, almost sweet, tannins surround a core of dark earthy minerality. Succulent dark black cherry-like flavors emerge with time. Despite its concentration, it’s not overdone. Indeed, it’s a beautifully balanced young wine. I bought a few bottles for my cellar, which I plan to open in a decade.
