($70): Freemark Abbey, one of the iconic Napa Valley Cabernet producers, continues their streak with this concentrated and deep 2013 rendition. Under its hulking frame lies elegance and refinement. The tannins have a lovely dusty quality, appropriate for a youthful Rutherford Cabernet. Layers of olive-like savory elements emerge with air. A hint of bitterness is a welcome note in the finish. This is a wine for the cellar. Give it a couple of more years before pulling the cork to enjoy with a fire-grilled steak.
