Despite a stated 14.6 percent stated alcohol, this Pinot Noir is not overblown or wandering into the “Pinot-Syrah” category. Yes, the alcohol is apparent by a hint of heat in the finish, yet the overall impression is that of a balanced, fragrant wine that combines bright red and black fruit notes with a touch of minerality. It blossoms as it sits in the glass, becoming even more suave, so don’t rush though it.
