Combine a top Brunello producer, Tenute Silvio Nardi, with a top Brunello vintage, 2019, and the result is unsurprisingly sensational. Captivating floral aromas pull you in and then, wham, a balance of firm, dark, cherry-like flavors and a marvelous minerality holds your attention. More mineral-y than opulent, a lovely hint of bitterness just reminds you of the wine’s stature. Although quite approachable now because of its suave texture, its grandeur will become even more evident in a decade.
