($17): Dry Creek vineyard draws on their nearly half-century experience in Dry Creek Valley to fashion beautifully balanced wines that speak rather than scream. This Sauvignon Blanc has a bit — but not too much — of the bite characteristic of the grape variety. Similarly, herbal nuances appear but don’t overwhelm. It’s fresh and lively, in a Loire-style rather than a rounder Bordeaux-style of Sauvignon Blanc. It would be a good choice for sushi.
