($13, Montcalm Wine Importers):  Illuminati does it again with their Riparosso.  They habitually produce a wine that delivers far more than the price suggests.  It’s a bright and lively mid-weight wine that combines fruit and savory notes.  A lovely firmness and a hint of bitterness in the finish, not to mention the price, makes it perfect for a simple mid-week pasta and meat sauce, or pizza.
