Barbera is often my “go-to” wine in restaurants because the grape’s brilliant acidity translates to a wine that remains vibrant throughout a meal. Einaudi’s black-fruited Barbera combines good depth with this energy. More fruit-focused than many Piedmont Barberas, this juicy red is a crowd-pleaser because of its weight, mild tannins, and vitality. Pair it with any hearty pasta bathed in a tomato sauce.
