($84, Kobrand Wine & Spirits): Of the trio of 2009 vintage Ports from the family owned Fladgate Partnership, Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca and Croft, Croft’s is the silkiest at this stage.  Supple and succulent, the ripe black fruit and spice almost caresses the palate.  Still plenty big and powerful befitting the vintage, it should develop beautifully because of its harmony.
