($70, Louis Latour, Inc): Corton Grancey is Latour’s flagship red wine made from their grapes grown in various Grand Cru vineyards on the Corton hill. The 1999 Corton Grancey is a stunning wine. Moreover, at seven years of age, it is delicious now. Lovely secondary earthy Burgundian flavors overlay the pure, ripe Corton fruit character. It’s well deserved Grand Cru status lies with its length and finesse as opposed to sheer power. 95 Michael Apstein Oct 17, 2006
