($20): Whitehaven has fashioned a slightly more restrained style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.  It’s still clean and fresh, with an attractively pungent bite, but, thankfully, does not shake you with electrifying verve.  In a word, they’ve achieved a lovely combination of fresh herbal notes and lime-like acidity.  It would be a good choice for grilled fish or steamed clams.
