Alamos, Mendoza (Argentina) Chardonnay 2012

($13): This “Goldilocks” kind of Chardonnay is a wonderful value.  Not too heavy — nor too light — it has enough acidity to carry it with food but not too much verve that would disqualify it from being enjoyed as an aperitif.  It won’t offend anyone and will please many, especially at the price.  It’s a great choice for a crowd this summer. 86 Michael Apstein Aug 5, 2014
